A = P(1 + r/n)^(nt) simple interest: A = P(1 + rt)

What each part means

What is the difference between Practice and Certify?

Practice is where hints and step-by-step feedback live, and where a wrong answer costs you nothing. Certify is the unaided check, so treat Practice as the place to be wrong on purpose until the method is automatic.

Why does my answer get rejected when it is only a cent off?

Because money answers are graded to the exact cent, and a cent of drift almost always comes from rounding partway through. Keep every digit until the last step, as the $1.74 gap above shows.

Does this calculator connect to my Hawkes account?

How do I know whether an answer should be exact or rounded?

The instruction above the box says so. 'Round to the nearest cent' wants 3273.26; 'give the exact value' wants a fraction or a radical left unevaluated, because rounding would make it a different number.
