Common questions
What order do high school maths courses go in?
Usually Pre-Algebra, then Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Precalculus, though many schools swap Geometry and Algebra II. Trigonometry and Probability and Statistics are sometimes separate courses and sometimes folded into the others.
Can I skip ahead if a course feels easy?
Test it rather than assume it. Take the course test for the course you want to skip; if you can pass it cold, without notes, the skip is safe. If you cannot, the gap will surface later at a worse time.
Are these courses aligned to a specific curriculum?
They follow the topics common to most high school syllabuses rather than one board's exact specification. Check your own syllabus for anything unusual it adds.
