Example: turn four weeks into specific sessions

In week one, take a short mixed diagnostic and repair the two earliest prerequisite gaps. In week two, alternate targeted questions with closed-note formula retrieval. In week three, mix units and add short timed blocks. In week four, complete a realistic rehearsal, correct every miss, and protect sleep and equipment checks before the exam.

Write sessions as visible actions

“Study calculus” is too vague to start. Write “solve six mixed chain-rule questions, explain two errors, and retest one tomorrow.” A good session names the topic, activity, amount, answer check, and next review date.

Adjust the plan every week

Compare planned sessions with completed work and current error patterns. Move time toward persistent high-impact gaps, keep short reviews of stronger topics, and reduce the plan when its workload prevents consistent execution.

How long should each study session be?

Long enough to finish one worked idea, which is usually 25 to 45 minutes. Sessions past an hour mostly add rereading, and rereading feels like studying without being studying.

What if I fall behind the plan?

Move the plan, not the exam. Re-cut the remaining weeks around what is still unlearned rather than trying to catch up on everything you missed, because the missed material is rarely equally important.

Is it better to study one subject a day or several?

Several, in short blocks. Mixing topics forces you to choose a method rather than repeat one, and choosing the method is what an exam actually tests.
