Applying constant-acceleration kinematics to a variable force such as drag or a spring. If the force depends on position or velocity, you need a differential equation.
Using I = MR squared for every object. Integrate for continuous bodies, and apply the parallel-axis theorem when the axis is not through the centre of mass.
Solving a separable differential equation and never applying the initial condition. An unresolved constant is an unfinished answer.
Losing the minus sign in F = -dU/dx. The force points toward lower potential energy, and the sign is the whole answer in stability questions.
