What it tells you: Converts among sample mass, moles, and representative particles.
Use it when: Use molar mass in matching mass units and $N_A=6.022\times10^{23}\,\mathrm{mol}^{-1}$.
Example: $18.0$ g water is about $1.00$ mol or $6.022\times10^{23}$ molecules.
What it tells you: Relates pressure, volume, amount, and absolute temperature for an ideal gas model.
Use it when: Temperature must be kelvin and the value of $R$ must match pressure and volume units.
Example: At fixed $n,T$, doubling volume halves pressure.
What it tells you: Connects solution absorbance with path length and concentration.
Use it when: The selected wavelength and concentration range should obey linear response.
Example: A calibration-line slope can be used to infer an unknown concentration.
What it tells you: Connects thermodynamic driving force with enthalpy, entropy, temperature, and equilibrium.
Use it when: Use kelvin and consistent energy units; standard-state quantities differ from nonstandard $\Delta G$.
Example: $K>1$ corresponds to $\Delta G^\circ<0$.

The long questions carry far more points than the short ones - do not spend equal time on all seven.
